Hi, I just wanted to let you know that both this forum and your other (TOL), have been having accessibility problems for a long time now ! Some days it works, some other's you can't just access the forums at all...

I don't know exactly what is the problem, but I'm sure it has something to do with the internet conectivity of your web hosting company... Maybe their peering or something like it...

And this is going on for a while now, maybe you should check it out or change to another web hoster with better conections...

Just a thought... ;)

Best Regards

I don't know if you spend so much time as I in these forums... ;)
Or else you might not have so many threads subscribed ?

Anyway, to the best of my knowledge it's a peering problem from the web hosting company, some ISP clients can't access the forum, but not all, however I've tried when there is no access in one ISP, I've tried with others and still no luck...

Nop, it's not just my ISP that's having trouble to access to this two forums, it's other national ISP's also, that's why I said it must be a peering problem from the web host, who I think shares our nationality, but don't know if the servers are here or are foreign...

I think there's a restriction on your download speed, most ISP's put a restriction when they've spotted you're downloading too much porn... lol

yesterday there was problems with some service providers and a lot of servers were not acessible for a couple of hours. Some people were accessing the sites without problem. It's not server related or site related...nothing I could do...I used a diferent proxy server to test and it was ok...

Yep I know some people could access the forum, because I was getting e-mails about replies, and when I can find an unprotected proxy server, I also try to access the forum that way, but there were plenty of ISP's that weren't conecting to the forum, however, I still think it's a peering problem from you web hosting provider... This doesn't mean there was a problem with the site or the phisical server where it's located.

It might also happen that if the web hosting company decides to change the ip of the machine where the web sites/forums are located, or the DNS servers, there might be some time, before that info spreads thru the net and all ISP clients gain access the forums again...

I don't know which one of the two situations is going on, but one thing I know, our ISP's have good peering contracts with alot of other national and international ISP's, so I'm more inclined to say it's a web hosting company problem...

This has happened before, and frequently, not only yesterday, so I hope you take this into consideration and try to find out what's the problem... ;)

Best Regards
