An extra helping of up to 43 kW / 58 hp of power and 70 Nm (52 lb-ft) of torque. And just as eco-friendly as the respective production car, complying with Euro V or VI emissions standards. Better fuel economy thanks to more power reserves. Perfect longevity documented by a three-year warranty up to 100,000 kilometers/62,000 miles (see BRABUS Warranty Terms and Conditions, updated July 2013): The BRABUS ECO PowerXtra D6S performance kits for the current Mercedes 350 turbodiesel models of the CLS-, E-, G-, GL-, M- and S-Class are prime examples for the tremendous know-how of the world’s largest vendor of performance tuning for Mercedes-Benz automobiles.

BRABUS goes beyond merely offering engine tuning for the current V6 diesels: There are also exclusively appointed BRABUS POWER DIESEL complete vehicles at very attractive prices.

Engine tuning made by BRABUS has been synonymous not only with tremendous power and performance combined with perfect everyday suitability and longevity. Just as important for the BRABUS engine specialists in the engineering center in Bottrop has always been to achieve a symbiosis of high performance and outstanding eco-friendliness. In contrast to almost all other vendors, BRABUS has its own engine development department equipped with state-of-the-art test-bench technology and emissions lab.

For the Mercedes 350 V6 turbodiesel with common-rail direct injection the engineers developed the BRABUS ECO PowerXtra D6S module. The plug-and-play auxiliary control unit is integrated into the CAN bus of the vehicle that serves as the respective base.

The BRABUS performance tuning comes with a highly special feature. The driver determines the intensity of the performance increase with the selected transmission mode of the automatic transmission. In Eco mode the maximum power output of the engine remains unchanged, but the considerable increase in peak torque can be clearly felt. Upon switching to Manual or Sport mode, peak power increases in addition to torque.

BRABUS ECO PowerXtra D6S performance tuning boosts power output of the CLS 350 CDI, including the 4MATIC model, to 230 kW / 313 hp (308 bhp) and bumps peak torque to 690 Nm (509 lb-ft). Power output of the 350 BlueTEC version of the new Mercedes S-Class jumps to 231 kW / 314 hp (310 bhp) while producing an identical 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of torque. Equipped with the BRABUS ECO PowerXtra D6S performance kit, the latest updated E-Class models deliver 228 kW / 310 hp (306 bhp) of power and produce a peak torque of 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) regardless of body style and drive layout. Depending on the vehicle, the sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph) is shortened to a mere 5.9 seconds. The top speed of all these models is limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).

The current off-roaders with 350 turbodiesel engine are also considerably more dynamic with BRABUS ECO PowerXtra D6S tuning. With a power output of 190 kW / 258 hp (255 bhp) the tuned G 350 BlueTEC surpasses its origin by 35 kW / 47 hp while producing an extra 50 Nm (37 lb-ft) of torque. The tuned versions of the ML 350 and GL 350 BlueTEC 4MATIC SUVs offer up 228 kW / 310 hp (306 bhp) of power and a peak torque of 690 Nm (509 lb-ft), available from a low 1,600 rpm.

When being driven, the V6 with a displacement of 2987 cc (182.3 cu. in.) and BRABUS ECO PowerXtra D6S tuning impresses with excellent performance in all vehicle models. But that’s not all: In harmonious interaction with the stock automatic transmissions with seven or even nine gears as in the new E 350 BlueTEC, the rise in torque results in further increased pulling power. This also benefits fuel economy. Depending on the driving style, fuel economy can be further improved over the production models.

The BRABUS ECO PowerXtra D6S performance kit sells for 1,790 euros MSRP. The perfect and efficient complement to the BRABUS ECO PowerXtra D6S performance kit for all model series is a tailor-made BRABUS sport exhaust system with four polished tailpipes. The fully stainless-steel exhaust systems lend the common-rail engine a sportier exhaust note and further optimize power delivery.
